My Brother and I

My Brother and I (2007)
This is my favourite of all the paintings I have done so far. (You can see the photograph that I worked from on the right hand side of the second image.) Again, I have used oils, this time on a flat canvas. The strings on the trampoline are actual string that has been passed through holes I have drilled in the piece. Right is the painting in it's intended surroundings - surrounded by toys we once played with. I was thinking of putting this in a plastic transparent box, a few inches thick, with these characters stuck permanently in the foreground in the positions shown. If you're wondering, there is a Teenage Mutant Hero Turtle arm holding onto Wiley Cat from the Thundercats, who in turn has her foot in a Ken shoe, next to a Barbie shoe. On the right is a cannon and flag - Lego pieces! It's a very small painting, about A4 size.
